Hosting overview
Understand the workspace you use to manage applications and databases in Dawlify.
How your workspace is organized
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Organization | Groups the people and hosting resources you manage together. Select the right organization before making changes. |
| Project | Groups related applications, databases, and Compose services. |
| Application | Holds the source, build settings, environment variables, domains, and deployment information for an app. |
| Database | Runs a database service and provides connection details for your application. |
| Compose service | Holds settings for a multi-container application defined with Docker Compose. |
A typical project
A web application and a PostgreSQL database can belong to the same project. You configure the application to use the database connection details through an environment variable. Creating both services does not configure your application code for you.
What you manage
- Connect a GitHub repository and choose a branch.
- Choose a build method and adjust its settings.
- Configure environment variables and custom domains.
- Start deployments and read logs when something fails.
- Create database services within your plan's limits.
Your first deployment
Begin with Deploy an app. Then follow the guides for databases, environment variables, and domains as your application needs them.
Resource and service requirements
Site and database counts do not describe CPU, memory, storage, or backup coverage. Confirm your workload requirements with support. These guides do not establish an uptime SLA, backup schedule, or recovery guarantee.
